Day 7 in the Step-Down Unit

(Brandon writing) A couple of good things to report today. First off, although Noah did have some times last night where his oxygen levels went down a bit, the nurse didn't need to give him any oxygen. God answered this prayer, dear saints. We pray that this trend continues. Secondly, Noah will be transferred to a "transitional care facility" several minutes down the road from where he stays right now. Basically, Noah will be in an environment that is much more like home but where he can continue to receive the care he needs to make sure that he is 100% before we go home. The best part of his transfer is that Mommy and Daddy will both be able to stay with him at night and sleep in a real bed! Mario Lemieux, a Pittsburgh hero, runs the foundation that supports the facility. The place is also closer to home, so it won't be a big problem for Daddy to drive to work in the morning. So, we're looking forward to that move and hope that all will be well.

Prayer requests:
1. That Noah's oxygen levels would stay up and that he would not need oxygen.
2. That Noah could continue to be weaned off morphine successfully.
3. That bottle feeding could do better as he comes off the morphine (and it was a bit better today)
4. That breast feeding could start soon
5. That the transition to the new facility would be smooth and a good change for everyone.
6. That Noah could come home soon!

Love to you.
