Yes, yes, and yes

The excuse for this is that to “reach” people, the churches must operate on this level, but this becomes suspect when it appears that nothing deeper is available in these congregations for those who have for many years been “reached.”

I think the ostentatiousness of many Evangelical churches is what makes me desire simple discussion with a small group of believers. As a teen, and new Christian, I loved the lavish productions that the Evangelical churches would put on! I admit that they were very fun and appealing to me at that time. Now that I'm both a more mature person, and a more mature Christian, it has lost it's appeal. Now I find my heart longing for simplicity. A simple message that leaves me thinking, and other Christians with whom to ponder it. Thus, I will need to start hunting for a new church, something I haven't felt the need to do in over a decade. Eep!

There is a reformed church in Wexford that I would try first if you are looking for a small, bible-believing church. They are called Covenant Community Presbyterian (PCA). You will find that they believe much of what Orchard Hill does, but they are more conservative and more doctrinally based, instead of being "sooooooo seeker-friendly." They are without a Pastor right now, but they bring someone in every week to preach. They are looking for someone and I am sure they will find someone shortly.
There is also a somewhat larger (although not that much larger) church close to you in Valencia called Gospel Fellowship PCA. This one will be closer to you. And as always, you are always welcome to come to my church (Providence PCA in Robinson). I don't mind coming to pick you up. Hope this helps you begin your search!
