Today was a slow but steady day for Noah. They were able to lower his ventilator settings a bit and he tolerated this change. His lung x-ray showed that both lungs are now expanded (an answer to prayer). The doctor said his lungs still do not look normal, but they are improving slowly. Noah is also peeing up a storm which will help his edema. They also doubled his intake of Momma's food. The nurse joked that he looked like he should be eating cheeseburgers by now.
Today was a day of small improvements but nothing major. We are grateful that Noah is not going backwards, but we are starting to realize that this could be an incredibly long process until Noah is 100% better. While his ventilator settings are down from yesterday, there is still a long way to go until Noah will not need a ventilator. The Lord has constantly reminded us from the beginning of this process that we have to have patience. Noah is not going to get better overnight. He may not even get better by next week or by this month. So please pray that:
1. We would not be discouraged during this process, but only be thankful for every day that God gives Noah- good days and bad days
2. We would be patient and wait on the Lord
3. Pray for progress in Noah's condition
4. Pray that Noah's lungs would continue to heal and start working on their own
Love to you in our Lord Jesus Christ.
